- How can you get tested for COVID-19? There is a drive-thru Hillsborough County testing site near Ybor City in East Tampa at the Lee Davis Community Resource Center at 3402 N. 22nd St.
- The tests are free. No doctor’s referral is needed, and insurance is not required. Open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted for holidays.
- How can you get a Coronavirus vaccine? Hillsborough County will begin vaccinating residents age 65 and older starting Wednesday, Jan. 6.Hillsborough has allocated an initial 4,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to be distributed to front line health care workers and residents age 65 and older.
Appointments are mandatory for residents age 65 and older to get the first of two vaccine injections. Appointments can be made online at HCCOVID19Shot.as.me. Residents can make an appointment for the vaccine site most convenient for them. For residents without Internet access, appointments also are available by calling 888-755-2822. The phone line will be open beginning Monday, Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.- The four sites are:
