Parking in Ybor City

The City of Tampa has free parking (up to two hours) available in three city-owned parking lots (Ybor Lots 3, 5, & 6) in the Ybor business district. After two hours, parking in those surface lots will be $1.00 per hour.

Drivers can find paid parking spaces from Nuccio Parkway (West) to 22nd Street (East) and Palm Avenue (North) to Adamo Drive (South). 

HOW TO PAY:

  • Parking Pay Station Kiosks (or)
  • Parkmobile App (available on Android and Apple devices)
  • Drivers will input their license plate number into the pay station or utilize the mobile app.
  • There are no paper tickets.

What will be the cost of On-Street parking?
> On-Street parking will be $1.50 per hour. Purchases can be made for the needed time frame – no limit.

What are the hours of operation for On-Street parking?
> Hours of operation for On-Street parking will be 8 a.m. to 3 a.m., 7 days per week.
> If a session is started before 8 a.m., charges will not be assessed until 8 a.m.

What if I have a disabled person parking permit or wheelchair license plate?
> Customers displaying a disabled parking permit or wheelchair license plate may park for up to 4 hours – free of charge – interaction with a pay station or mobile app is not required. Customers will need to purchase additional parking time if needed.

How do I get 2 hours of free parking?
> The 2 free hours of parking are offered on city owned surface lots
Ybor Lots 3, 5 and 6
> Customers MUST start a parking session utilizing their license plate at the pay station or by using the mobile apps.

Do I have to move my vehicle after parking 2 hours on Ybor Lots 3, 5 and 6?
> No, customers will choose their parking duration at the beginning of each parking session; additional parking time may be purchased at $1.00 per hour beyond the first two hours.

What are parking options for employees?
> There are two city owned garages near 7th Avenue (Centro Ybor and Palm Ave. garages) that offer parking rates for employees with immediate availability. Please visit the City’s parking website for additional information: www.tampa.gov/parking

How is this change going to impact residents in the Residential Parking Program?
> Residential Parking Program permit holders will not be impacted by these changes.

There is a $1.00 charge at both garages for the first three hours, with the exception of Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. On these nights a flat fee will be charged upon exit to patrons entering the garage after 10:00 P.M. and exiting before 5:00 A.M. as follows:

The Fernando Noriega Jr. garage (or Palm Avenue garage) is a 1,240 space parking structure that services the Hillsborough Community College, Ybor City and other surrounding businesses
