Largest Exhibit of Ybor Inspired Art and Artists

Unprecedented Collection Goes On Display May 8th through the 12th
The largest exhibition of Ybor only artwork ever seen will be unveiled next week at Hillsborough Community College’s Art Gallery in Ybor City. The Exhibition is in cooperation with the Tampa Museum of art and the artists or their estates. It will be on display locally for one week only! This exclusive, combined exhibit is the culmination of a collaborative effort between community and business leaders who recognize the value that these art collections bring to our community.
Walter Aye, a prominent local attorney, and community arts proponent, has been a driving force behind this combined exhibit. Mr. Aye was inspired to showcase Ybor art in an attempt to help educate art lovers about the notable works that are a product of our unique cultural community. His idea becomes reality next week after working closely with leaders at the Tampa Museum of Art. Mr. Aye assures art lovers, “There’s never been an exhibit of Ybor artwork like this one. Not ever!”
Renowned artists such a Pacheco and Arnold Martinez have given their blessing to an exhibit that will be a celebration of all things Ybor. Works by other renowned Ybor artists such as Theo Wujcik, Meatyard, Melby, Rosenquist who passed away just weeks ago, and Testasecca will be on exhibit as well to ensure this remarkable exhibit lives up to billing.
This exhibit is free and open to the public thanks to our community partners & sponsors.
