Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters, one of the most notable homegrown, independent coffee roasters helping to lead the coffee scene brewing in Tampa Bay, announced today the opening of its newest location in West Park Village in Westchase, Tampa, marking the company’s fourth location. The announcement comes less than a year after Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters opened its third location in January 2018 in South Tampa’s SoHo district, which now serves as its flagship site and a cozy retreat from Soho’s bustling nightlife. The new Westchase location is scheduled to open to neighbors by the end of this year.

“We are thrilled because this new storefront at West Park Village fits the concept of what we were seeking in our next location and what we proudly offer in all of our locations – a social community, accessibility to pedestrian traffic, and most importantly a sense of place among neighbors, restaurants, retailers and small businesses currently at West Park Village in the surrounding area,” said Roberto Torres, President of Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters. Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters new West Park Village location takes over the Starbucks site that closed almost a year ago.

The first Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters Cafe started in 2014 in the historic Ybor City, Tampa. The founders had a desire to bring great roasted coffee flavors back to a city that was known for it’s historic richness. Inspired by the tailored and craftsman feel of a speakeasy, the founders wanted to start a Blind Tiger (another name for speakeasy) of their own. The speakeasy feel caters to the true coffee connoisseurs and soon new locations opened in Seminole Heights in 2016 and then in SoHo in early 2018.

In addition to an assorted blend of artisan coffees and teas, Blind Tiger Cafés have expanded to offer freshly baked gluten free treats as well as original breakfast and lunch menu items, such as a Tampa twist on French toast, healthy salads or Blind Tiger Bowl, their own tribute to the acai bowl. Blind Tiger coffee can also be found throughout Tampa offices via its corporate coffee cart program and special partnerships.

The new store is located at 10118 Montague Street, Unit 9, Tampa, Florida 33626
